Bay Music School was founded in th 1990's and ever since was specialised in keyboard teaching. The school has recently been overtaken by Gisele Afeche, an enthusiastic teacher and it aims to expand the teaching to other areas of music, such as piano, singing, choir and other instruments.

Graduated in Musicology at The University of Paris - Sorbonne (France). Diplomas in Piano (Faculdade Santa Marcelina - Brazil), Singing, Harpsichord, Choir Conducting, Music Theory, Music Analysis, Harmony by ENM de Bourg la Reine and CNR de Boulogne (France).
Vast teaching experience in Music Schools (piano, choir and theory). Choir conductor of 15 choirs, all ages, at l'Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bourg-la-Reine (France), Choir Conductor assistant at Maitrise Notre Dame de Paris (France). Music teacher in Colleges (France), Private singing tuition, individual singing tuition and group singing tuition - St Paul's School - Sao Paulo, Brazil. City and Guilds Certificate in Teaching (2005).
Singing and Choir teacher for Brixham Aduilt Community Learning from 2004 to 2008, with very sucessful classes, performing for concerts and charity concerts.
As a singer (soprano), Gisele took part in 'Coral Paulistano' at Sao Paulo Municipal Theatre from 1996 to 2003 and performed as a soloist in various Music Groups in France and in Brazil: Choeur de la Sorbonne (France), La Symphonie du Marais (France), Choeur Accentus (France), Choeur St. Louis en Ile (France), Choeur de l'Orchestre de Paris (France), Ensemble Ars Musicae (France), Coralusp (Choir of The University of Sao Paulo) Noite (Brazil), Coralusp Tarde (Brazil), Coro da Universidade Santa Marcelina (Brazil), Harmonia Universalis (specialised in Baroque Music - Brazil), Camerata Novo Horizonte (Brazil), Brasilessentia (Brazil), Mercurius Company (United Kingdom),. Participation in Various CDs as soloist and in choirs.
Proficiency in English (Cambridge CPE) and French (DALF: Diplome Approffondi de Langue Francaise), knowledge of Italian and Spanish. Graduated Holistic Therapist by South Devon College 2006.
"I have been a teacher all my life. I started teaching the piano when I was 17 and then I started Conducting Choirs.Most of my studies were undertaken in France and I developed there a career in Choir Conducting, having conducted over 30 choirs at Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bourg la Reine and as a conductor assistant for Maitrise Notre Dame de Paris. Back in Brazil I entered the Municipal Theatre in Sao Paulo as a soprano, where I stayed for 7 years whilst teaching singing and piano and participating in other music ensembles in Brazil as a choir singer and soloist.
I have been in the UK for 6 years where I developed a very successful singing class in Brixham ACL with group lessons and a lady's choir. This work will continue over Paignton as part of Bay Music School.
I have recently graduated as a Holistic Therapist. Having been a singing teacher, I many times encountered problems as the students came to lessons with tension and stiffness. Becoming a holistic therapist made me become more aware of the human being and how one's health and tension can affect the voice and the learning of singing."
